In 2015, I was diagnosed with cancer, which turned my world upside down. From a corporate, high profile career, I was then launched into living from one appointment to the next. In all honesty, I was bored, I needed to keep my brain busy. I’ve always been creative so this was my natural path to explore.

DMC Designs was born, with a mix of upcycled jewellery boxes, decorated festive baubles and a bit of drawing. It didn’t take me long to find my love for resin art. I offered memorial keepsakes and alternative wares. I was still needing more…

This is when I found my second love, of helping other independent businesses with marketing, and the passion turned into offering a side hustle of managing social media for others. Being part of online monthly markets began in 2016, and I have never looked back.

DMC Designs has taken a few breaks as I navigated my own health but the markets always have my attention. During these “breaks”, I started drawing more, which is when the opportunity arose to create some endless patterns for fellow creatives to use on their own projects.

I was honoured when Iris Inspired used a few of my designs and I hope to do more in the future.
